Information

Our Gentle Defence shampoo is formulated using natural and organic ingredients. Containing organic, plant-derived ingredients with added pure neem leaf extract. It leaves hair soft and shiny- with no nits!.

Neem is anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, and high in essential fatty acids and azadirachtin, an ingredient that repels and kills biting insects. This shampoo has been formulated to gently and naturally remove nits, lice, fleas, mites and other insects and their eggs from the scalp.

Vegan-friendly. No artificial colours, SLS, SLES or parabens. Our products are never tested on animals.

Directions for use:

A little goes a long way. Wet hair, massage well into hair and scalp. Allow to remain on the hair for 2-3 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Repeat as necessary.

This shampoo is suitable for regular use, and is PH balanced. For best results use with our Neem Shield Kids' Spray.

  • Aqueous botanical extract of Quassia amara (Quassia) bark
  • Surfactants: Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Methyl Oleoyl Taurate **
  • Rosa canina (Rosehip) oil
  • Panthenol
  • Sea salt
  • Azadirachta indica (neem) pure concentrated leaf extract
  • Phenoxyethanol <1% and ethylhexylglycerin (preservative)
  • Essential oils of Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile), Lavandula angustifolia (lavender), Jasminum officinale (Jasmine)
  • Linalool (naturally present in essential oils)

This Shampoo was very drying for my hair and scalp. After the first use it caused more irritation and worst of all did not work/ help with the lice and removing eggs at all. This product did not suit me at all and it was an absolute waste of money for me.

Thank you for your feedback on the Gentle Defence shampoo- we will give you a full refund on the product as it did not suit you. The Gentle Defence is designed to be used (sparingly) together with our Gentle Defence spray to deal with head lice adults on the hair and prevent new infestations. Nits are empty egg casings tightly bonded to the hair- but they should come out if you put the spray on and comb through with a nit comb.

This shampoo gives a beautiful shine to the hair thus no conditioner required.

You only need to use a small amount as it lathers up well.

Best shampoo i have used.
