Directions: Apply several drops to tooth or gums using fingertip, or saturate a small cotton ball and apply directly to tooth or gums. Re-apply as needed every 1-2 hours. May also be added to coconut oil for oil pulling. For best results, use with the rest of the Theraneem Oral Care products.

What is oil pulling?

This type of oral therapy has its origins in Ayurvedic medicine dating back 3,000 years.The procedure involves rinsing (swishing) approximately one tablespoon of oil around in your mouth. As the oil hits your teeth and gums, microbes are picked up and held within the oil. Coconut oil is preferred due to the pleasant taste and the superior antibacterial properties of lauric acid within the oil.

A number of recent studies cite various benefits of oil pulling, namely:

  • Reducing the level of Streptococcus mutans in the mouth
  • Reducing plaque / gingivitis / inflammation
  • Reducing the markers for bad breath

It can take a few weeks to get used to this technique (which should always be followed by brushing your teeth), but converts swear by this change to their routine.

This is very strong! Over done it with the oil on the cotton bud. Waiting to see the outcome. Read the other reviews and it seems to be another great product.

Neem Oil

Brilliant product, works excellently on my gums where I had a little gum redness and some bleeding from a bit of gingivitis a while ago, compounded with over brushing, so I used the oil and found that within a week together with my neem oil herbal toothpaste all bleeding has stopped and redness gone. I achieved this by brushing vertically and gently then applying the oil all round the gum line with a soaked cotton wool tip, and also found that after applying it the oil has a pain killing effect too, very soothing. All this done at bedtime and it sorted out a lingering problem. Great product, will be back for more.

Amazingly effective

I'd had an annoying bump on my gum for over a year which the dentist had been keeping an eye on. It wasn't infected and didn't hurt but was just annoyingly there. I decided to try the oil just days ago having used other Serendipity Herbals Neem products (eg. toothpaste and gum powder) for some years. I put a couple of drops on a cotton bud and applied it to the area and after only two, possibly three applications (applied before bed) the bump has gone and the area is smooth once again! Very powerful stuff and wonderful to know there are no chemicals in sight. Thank you Serendipity Herbals - great products all!

Neem tooth and gum oil

I am currently suffering from toothache and sensitive gums following a jaw injury. After reading reviews and unable to get to dentist I tried this oil. Applying oil to the affected gum and surrounding area numbs the pain nicely enough for it to be bearable. Highly recommended.
