Mix up your fresh neem spray in the spray bottle or other recycled bottles or in a garden sprayer.
Neem is best used for those pests that consume the plant- leaf eaters and sap-suckers are the ones that take up the neem and then find their appetite suppressed, and then the transformation into the next stage in development is blocked. For root or tuber eaters, a soil drench is recommended. So when you use a neem spray, damage to the plant is reduced rapidly, and then after about 2 weeks there is rapid population collapse. This mechanism of action is also one of the reasons that beneficial insects- nectar-drinkers like butterflies and bees- are unaffected by neem.
Neem is also biodegradable- this does mean you need to spray weekly and after rain- however, it also means that it does not build up in the environment.
To be on the safe side for bees and butterflies, spray early evening. Wash sprayer with warm soapy water after use.
Use 5ml (1 teaspoon) of oil in half to one litre of warm water and 0.5 - 1.0 ml of the emulsifier.

I have used this kit in the garden for years. My dogs have never had fleas but my neighbours had a flea issue and with that in mind I decided to step up my natural protection as we share a boundary wall. We never got fleas in the garden nor on our dogs. I now use it as a staple as we have foxes that traffic through our garden and it’s not failed me. Great product!

I recently bought the Gardener's Neem kit and would highly recommend it to other gardeners. A wonderful way to repel the beasties and stop them eating and destroying my cherished vegetables. I had an outbreak of spider mites in my greenhouse that ate my aubergine plant but have now completely disappeared since spraying with Neem The wee slugs have been put off eating my cabbage seedlings. I am so glad to be using something natural. The kit itself is lovely and well equipped and will go a long way in terms of the quantity provided. Thanks from a very happy customer.
